NEW SCHOOL RECORD

Such a fun week in the cross country world with a pretty awesome end to the week…so I’ll work backwards!
Saturday we ran at the Lakeview Invitational…10 of our kids had amazing PR’s (personal bests!), 9 of our runners had SR’s (season bests!) and one of our seniors, Dominic Lowrie, broke the 47 year old cross country school record running 3.1 miles in 15:29…such a huge accomplishment for this kiddo!
Friday we had our first 6:00am practice and I learned that I love practicing at this time of the morning…and the kids didn’t really complain at all either!
We won’t talk about my hair though outside at 6:00am…that was something else!
We won’t talk about my hair though outside at 6:00am…that was something else!And Tuesday we ran at Berrien Springs…it was a hot one and the kids ran hard. But my favorite moment…an impromptu dance party…it just kind of happened! I love that they just have fun and genuinely enjoy being together!
Kalamazoo Invitational

No one meet is the same…courses can be drastically different and the weather this week has been just a little warm to say the least!
But despite the heat, our boys took 2nd at the Kalamazoo Invitational today! And our girls came in 4th overall! These kids are learning how to run and work as a team and I can’t wait to see how their hard work will pay off 2 months from now…when we will probably be running in the snow instead of this drastic heat!

Such a fun night running Under the Lights
and we couldn’t be more proud of these kids! They had a great week of practices and ended the week with 11 huge PR’s and everyone else running their best race of the season improving leaps and bounds over their first meet a week ago! Our boys came in 5th out of 19 teams and our girls came in 6th out of 21 teams. Their energy was crazy high and they all left last night on cloud nine! We really couldn’t ask for anything more!
