HCPT in the Middle is back for its 2nd Year in 2024!

Thinking about dancing in high school?  This is YOUR TIME to check it out and start building Pom skills!

The Summer Training, Choreography and Practice you will take ALONGSIDE HCPT 24-25 Team Members and will be taught by area guest artists.  These are the SAME classes HCPT will take to build Pom skill, technique and performance quality.  

In addition to the educational opportunity, you will get a chance to learn an HCPT Pom Routine and perform with us at HALFTIME at our FIRST HOME FOOTBALL GAME on Friday, September 6, 2024.

All attendees performing will receive a custom HCPT performance shirt and set of performance poms!

All Training and Practices will be held in HC High School Back Gym (except where noted).  Enter through Varsity Hall | Sports entrance | Back of School.  HCPT will be there to guide you to the gym.

To perform, you MUST attend the Choreography Session (07.21.2024) | Football Field Practice (08.25.2024) | Last Practice (09.05.2024).

Prior Dance Experience is helpful; however not necessary. All attendees must be able to:

- Participate on their own (without parents)

- Listen and Follow Directions from Guest Artist and Coach

- Work in Small and Large Groups

- Respect Guest Artist and Coach AT ALL TIMES

- Have Positive “Can Do” Attitude 

Normal dance or athletic clothing and tennis shoes are all that is needed.  Lots of water is good too as it is VERY hot in the gym in the summer months.

For the performance on Friday, 09.06.2024, in addition to their provided performance tee and poms, they will need PLAIN black leggings (girls) or PLAIN black shorts (boys) and clean athletic shoes with no show socks.  Hair can be worn any way they’d like. 

Parents are welcome to stay and watch while their child is in training, choreography and at practice; however, we ask that you just spectate in order for your child to get the very best experience from this wonderful opportunity.

The halftime performance will be recorded and made available for download as soon as is technically possible after the performance.  Still photos will also be taken and shared with participants.
